In Spring 2021, Rubbermaid, a leading international manufacturer of hand hygiene, cleaning, waste and recycling solutions, asked 300 organisations across Europe about the impact of the pandemic on their workplace and how they had changed, adapted and evolved their approach to the provision of cleaning and hygiene. In summary, the report finds that the key challenges facing organisations and their leaders regarding the provision cleaning and hygiene are:
- Improving the overall durability and quality of solutions; and not surprisingly
- meeting higher much higher user expectations relating to the standards of hygiene and cleanliness of a facility.
Indeed, when survey respondents were asked whether the visibility of cleaning and hygiene measures influenced users perception of their organisation's facility and brand, just under two-thirds agreed that it would 'strongly influence' users perceptions in the future.
Although, during the early phase of the pandemic emphasis was placed on workplace infection control and sustainability issues were put on the back burner, this is no longer the case. Organisations are expected to invest in sustainability measures, such as waste management and recycling, as well as infection control. Failure to do so, reflects badly in the eyes of users.
These main findings, many further insights and details, are set out in the full report which is available for download here. It is essential reading for all organisations!
